First solo bike ride 4

Maryke finally did it! She rode her bike by herself for the very first time – solo! And boy is she excited. Wish I had a video of how excited she was. This movie is her first solo shot. It was a super nice day and I had been practicing with her for a few minutes (well actually 2 years, but lets not go there) before this shot was taken. You can faintly hear on the video that some of the neighborhood kids were saying “Good job, Maryke” but what you don’t see is that the whole neighborhood was cheering her on. It was a really great day in the cul-de-sac.

WOW Maryke!! You look great on the bike and did such a super job! Oma is proud of you. Aunt Rachel says, ” Good job, Maryke!! I’m coming!!” (for a visit). This is news for me, but we’ll try to make it happen. Love, Oma
